A couple of weeks ago, my wife, Melissa, and I were able to make a hiking excursion into neighboring Burke County into the Pisgah Nationa Forest, which is in Caldwell County, as well. We able to see some amazing scenery, as we hiked down into a valley where a creek flowed through. My wife took some pictures which I thought you might enjoy seeing.
The recent plug that Lenoir and this area received from National Geographic is truly well deserved, as this is only one of many amazing places in the Catawba Valley. Over the next few weeks, I’ll try to update the blog with amazing places that visitors and residents can enjoy right here in their own backyard.
