I wanted to let my readers know that I have signed a contract to have a book that I am working on published. The topic of the book is Construction Management. I am to have the manuscript completed by the middle of the year and the book will be published shortly thereafter. I will provide more specifics on a release date once we set a more specific date. The publisher is J.Ross Publishing, who specializes in project management related books. My book will focus on how to effectively manage the construction process through current project management techniques. As I continue to write, I will see if I can post excerpts as teasers. So please check back for updates. If you have any questions regarding construction management feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Joseph Griffin
Joseph–
Congrats on the book deal! Let me be a voice of encouragement, having completed my own book on project management a couple of years ago (“Get Paid for a Change!”, Supreme Word Publishers, 2006.)
Seemed to me like it took forever, and was a huge PROJECT in itself!
I write and speak on the subject: “Full Contact Project Management”, in Masonry magazine, and others, and am speaking in a couple of weeks at Hardscape North America in Atlanta.
My website is dedicated to helping PMs, and has a lot of no-cost info: FullContactTeam.com.
Anyway, I wish you well. I’d like to learn from you what your specialty is, as maybe we could stay in touch.
Best,
Gary Micheloni

Gary,
Thanks for the word of encouragement. It does seem to be a rather large project in itself, as you said. My focus is in the area of residential construction management. The book will focus on a life-cycle approach to developing and executing a project plan.
